Review (by Dave Mallick): MUCH tighter than the free Boston gig last year; the new tunes seem much more congealed and reworked. Eric had some incredible solos and really stood out! The crowd was mostly sitting down for the first few songs, but once they hit Little Miss, a bunch of folks got up, some rushed the stage, and there was a good crowd of a few hundred down front who stood up for the rest of the show.
One really cute thing I saw – a woman was standing to the right of the soundboard area, and as soon as they started playing Little Miss, she RAN across the grass and crossed in front of me. I lost sight of her in the crowd for a minute, but when I saw her again, she had her son with her – he was probably all of eight or nine years old – and the two of them ran up to the front and danced together for the rest of the song. The Spin Doctors, ladies and gentlemen: fun for all ages.
