Crosscut Saw
official free mp3 release via spindoctors.com; April 2nd, 2006
Written by R.G. Ford, and made famous by the great Albert King, this track was recorded on September 14, 2005 in Burlington, VT while aboard the John Lennon Educational Tour Bus. “After several months of doing this song during soundcheck, and with Chris being sick that day, it seemed like the perfect song to record on The John Lennon Educational Tour Bus,…basically a recording studio on wheels. […] Aaron was forced to play on a strange electronic drum kit, Chris was sick and there was only 1 hour to get this done. Given all that, I think it turned out pretty well. Simply,……basics again in one shot, followed by Eric’s lead vocals” (details provided by JB on the Spin Doctors board).
Jambalaya (On The Bayou) - Spin Doctors with Sam Bush
official free mp3 release via spindoctors.com; April 1st, 2006
“‘Jambalaya’ was recorded with Sam Bush in Nashville, TN on July 23, 2005 as part of the syndicated radio show, Radio Bonnaroo. With a gig later that night, there wasn’t much time to get this done, but it was recorded and mixed in just a few hours. Basics recorded on the first shot, followed by Chris’ lead vocals and then Sam Bush’s 3 tracks,…mandolin, violin and backing vocals” (details provided by JB on the Spin Doctors board).
