Produced and recorded by Todd Horton at Deanna’s NYC 1999.” From Todd Hortons Facebook page: “my album Quest, never officially released. Recorded in 1999 at Deanna’s Restaurant NYC with Erik Lawrence, Rob Reich, Tim Givens and Aaron Comess. Artwork by Jennifer Alba Bensadoun. Four cheap mics (borrowed), an old Mackie mixer (borrowed) and a 16 bit ADAT machine that Aaron had given me. No monitoring, too much headroom (hiss). No isolation either. The bass had to go direct and I had to record the drums with a single SM57 from about eight feet away. We only had a couple of hours so we did one take of everything and called it a night. I never wanted to release it because of the recording quality and I hated my playing so much back then. Now I love this record, flaws and all, and want to share it. I owe so much to these brilliant musicians and dear friends, who were so loyal to me for so many years. Them were the days.”
