Tons of fans turned out for a great set, including an incredible version of “Can´t Kick The Habit.” To top that off, Chris showed up at a local bar afterwards to hang out and play a couple tunes. Awesome night. […]”
(by stumpylicious, originally posted on the SD message board): ” […] People seemed pretty excited about the show, and the park was definitely more packed than it was when I was there on June 10 for Cowboy Mouth/Arrested Development), but they didn´t really get into it until Little Miss… as far as I could tell. They were digging Chris flipping up the mic stand and everyone tearing through the songs, but that´s when it seemed to click. There were lighters and wild chants for Can´t Kick the Habit, which had more people singing along than I expected. That´s when anyone who wasn´t paying attention earlier started to do so.
Refrigerator Car and Genuine were supposed to follow BFFB, but they were cut. That´s where Lady Kerosene went in (straight in from BFFB), followed by Two Princes. HCYWHWYKYCHM was slated to lead off the encore, but it was also cut.
Overall a joyous, rocking first show for me. […] I got there a little later than I wanted though. In order to be in front, we had to stand in front of the stage right speakers. We eased in a little to get away a bit and stay in front, but neither of us can hear adequately today out of our left ears. Small price to pay for a great show and a great time (it´s been a while since I´ve had that).”
